The Financial Crisis Explained

We are currently living in the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis. A majority of the economic and political climate today revolves around the effects of that event. Thus, I make a lot of references to it in my posts. However, I am sure there are those of you out there who either don’t understand the jargon I use in my posts or don’t know exactly what happened that led to the financial meltdown. With that in mind, I decided to dedicate an entire page to explain the financial crisis of 2008 rather than doing it for every post I write.

Now I could write on and on about the crisis. However, its much more interesting to watch videos rather than read paragraph after paragraph of confusing economic concepts. Thus, here is a great explanatory video of what really led to the financial crisis of 2008.

As a bonus, if you really do enjoy reading, here is a brief article by Investopedia which also explains the financial crisis.
